A new low in museum acquisitions…

This place:

https://aerospot.eu/

Has a “International Aviation Shame List” for people who could have helped, but didn’t. I told the guy running the place to add me to the list…

This guy is touting for funds on the “General Aviation” forum again.

Along with a guy apparently flogging Lancaster air crew log books and another wanting JU-88 parts. The latter has been a forum member for 8 years with six posts to his credit. Still, he manages to put his request into the wrong forum.

Just in case anyone fancies sending money/artefacts/”planes” and not seeing them again. Probably.

He posted on some aircraft pages on facebook in Australia. He was quickly shot down.

He tried the same stunt on the Antique Aviation Parts Exchange yesterday, Promptly got shredded & then banned. It was hilarious. At one point he said we should be putting up a statue of him for his work. Claimed he sent out 12,000 emails & got 4 replies. Gee, I wonder why?

I like that someone in the GA forum directed him at pprune. :highly_amused: :highly_amused: :highly_amused: :highly_amused:

Nice work, if you can get it. Now I want to open an art gallery, so if you have a spare Old Master I’ll happily take it off your hands!

Yes, he/she seemed to be hustling for free airframes/ aeronautica for a sort of ‘Pop-up ‘ museum………..or something

”I want to open an aviation museum in my country, this summer. I already received some free items to display. Please visit www.aerospot.eu/?lang=en . Can anyone help me with a donation/sponsorship of planes , ultralights and other items for this exhibition ? ”

In this sort of request, the ‘tone’ of the pitch is all important, not to mention the inclusion of some engaging backstory, that makes you begin to care, at least a little.
