Arriving back at ‘base’ today, I was astonished to see all the flying Prentices in the UK (World ?) lined up at White Walthem, in company with a Proctor and Percival Gull.
Also present was Peter March and his C-172 G-ASSS, so I think some air/air photos will appear in due course of the 5-ship formation.
The weary-looking G-AOLK was performing one of her penultimate flights, as she has now been bought by the RAF museum, and is destined for Cosford very shortly, thus concluding her flying days. She had been advertised widely for many years, but the appeal of the aeroplane to private pilots was seemingly not great.
And then there were two…………………………….
