A Rainy Day By The Mersey (27/12/06)

A lunchtime trip to Liverpool with Mr Dyson produced, among others, this quartet from the UK register.

The owner of the purple Robinson 22 had clearly read the weather forecast before leaving home. 😎

I’d guess I last sat on the balcony at Speke back in 1964

The ramp was filled (ha!) with a Viscount, a couple of DC3, possibly a DC4 and the odd Bristol Freighter car ferrying to the IOM.

Have you ever seen this website, Rob?

Can’t say I’ve ever seen that Robinson 22 with floats in the UK before!

Great shots despite the dull weather!! 😀

Oh and dear old G-AOJH, the first aircraft I ever flew in.

What’s the JL airport like…do they recieve any heavies …or just your 737 A320 types

The bulk of the traffic is Ryanair B737s and Easyjet A319s, with Wizz Air A320s, Euromanx ATR72 and DHC8 and FlyBE DHC8-400s thrown in to break the monotony.

Some interesting cargo movements, too.

Liverpool FC generate the odd heavier type when playing at home in European competitions but, even then, the really heavy stuff sometimes goes to MAN.

Thanks for the comments, chaps. 🙂
