Actually Some of the old Ansett planes have found a new lease of life, I have read that some airlines are leasing them and using them at a really cheap price.
I feel sorry for the workers, an ex g/f of mine worked as an avionics technician for them with her dad, they got left out in the cold just like many of the other staff, actually her dad was there the day that Mr Toovey left without saying anything, had the hide to jump on an ANZ flight across the Tasman.

Someone can buy them for a start-up, I suppose.

Qantas is getting rid of their 767s in favour of the A330

Hi,
Couldn’t QANTAS make use of the 767s?
Thanks

I think they are all destined to be soft drink cans.

I wonder how much one of those 767s cost.

It is sad to see what was a great airline go out of business because of another airline buying it and then using the profits from Ansett to save their own backsides and still be in debt. I know a former 767 Captain from Ansett and it was a sad time for him and his young family, and he has only just found a flying job with EVA Air Cargo as a 747 First Officer.

Hi,
sad sight indeed…Ansett was one of the best airlines flying.
They also had one of the nicest livery’s.

Hi,
It a real shame that they are just being left their to rot. I hope they find a new owner.
Thanks
