Hi All,
Had a somewhat disappointing day at the Yorkshire Air Show yesterday! The weather for most of the day wasn’t actually too bad, but poor weather elsewhere in the country meant many displays couldn’t get to Elvington, but the organisers did what they could to get as much as possible in the air. I’m a little disappointed with the rate of keepers I have, but some is better than none!
Our transport to Elvington, G-BOVK, rests just before we depart.

G-IZZS, the other aircraft that flew over with us from LBA.

And 20 minutes later, we were on the ground!

Northern_Git and a Dakota!

I’m not sure whether JP would accept this or not!

The mighty Victor. One stunning aircraft!

This was my favourite aircraft of the day. The old, very loud and very awesome Hawker Hunter!

Hi Jonathan
Was there much flying on the sunday as I stayed till around 12 and the weather looked as it had set in for the day.
Briiliant formation and solo flying in the best looking hunter around and also nice to fly in Flight Simulator 2004
Safe Flying

Great photo of Andy and myself and also the “Wall of Flame”.
I’m looking for photos of the Sunday pyros, we were a lot lower than the Saturday and they went off while we were still over them!!
Andy has never dropped any ordinance for real, so it was a bit of a surprise!

Excellent stuff, especially the Hunters. My two fave Hunters in formation. Wish I’d been there.

You’d have to explain the reason to me too, I live in Plymouth and I can honestly say there was nothing of any significance happening, aviation wise, (or anything else for that matter) last weekend!
But next weekend there’s a military vehicle exhibition over at Mount Edgecombe Park.
I wasn’t in Plymouth for any aviation reasons, just personal (Paul already knew this)
I spent the best park of last Saturday at Mount Edgecumbe running around the place avoiding the showers – Perhaps with the military vehicle exhibition i might venture back.

I didn’t follow him around, Dougal, he followed us! Remember at MAN when we tried to lose him at the AVP and he just turned up again half an hour later? He’s harmless enough though so we tolerated him
He looks like he should have an ASBO?! I’l have a word with the local Police & see if we can get a restraining order put on him.
Dougal
(Northern_Git We Love You Really… Well)

Was this individual following you around for the day? Coz I swear I’ve been to Manchester & he lurks in the background everywhere I go! Should I be worried?

Thankyou for your comments, guys!

nice photo’s Paul, I decided not to make the trek across the Peninnes as the forecast was dire for both days, & now i’m sat here at home and it’s been fine all day so far. 😡

This certainly warmed us up!

And the Red Arrows were superb, as usual.

And that’s about it! Apologies for there not being more and of slightly higher quality, but that was about as good as I could do under the circumstances!
Huge thanks to BT777 for inviting me along, and thanks, all for looking,
Paul
