Can anyone tell me how the parking catch was fitted? Is there any special bolt? It seems to be held in place by a split pin, also was there a small plate behind it that covered the brake lever hole and the parking catch hole on the grip. I think there was a plate with two holes in it. I know there was a special bolt for the brake lever, does anyone have one or a replica, Spitfire Spares one is £35 which seems a bit steep, but no suprise! 😀
Thanks in advance.

There is a chap on ebay who makes replica accessories for grips incl brake levers and mountings. See item 111283135660 which is nothing to do with grips but this is the seller I am referring to and who may be worth contacting.

The brake catch is mounted on a post (machined) which has a thread on the end and goes into the casting. As you say, a split pin holds it in place. I was going to get the pair ….i.e. post and the brake lever post made. Costs would be a bit high, so did not do. Could make with the right ba bolts.
