The organisers of this event must have a private line to the weather gods – storms on Friday, rain today but glorious sunshine yesterday! In consequence, some sixty aircraft put in an appearance. Some of the interesting ones are illustrated below.

About 20km east of Mirebeau. The aerodrome is adjacent to the junction of the D161 and D749, south of the town of Châtellerault.

Ah, so now you’ll be able to identify the next Adam RA-14 Loisirs that you see, David.
I have to say I did do a double take when first I saw the Turbi. The forward cockpit being faired over gives it the air of a Mauboussin Corsaire!
I assume that there’s nothing happening at Cholet this year and so I won’t be seeing a Catalina in Maine-et-Loire.

Lovely shots. I guessed the Druine Turbi correctly but had to look F-PBGF up!
