A Teaser

Everyone seems to be submitting a puzzler. So here is one that may keep the odd one of you occupied for a couple of seconds.

It was designed to be a two seat trainer for worldwide use. To be used for intermediate and advanced training and some communication work. It did not enter service.

You will note that I have very amateurishly blanked out the serial.

Hi,

Try this website.

http://www.historic-battles.com/Articles/Aircraft_Designations_WW2.htm

It tells you why aircraft received their names. Scroll down to RAF.

Aeronautical names fascinate me.

Airspeed Cambridge, companion to the famous Oxford.

We have the Harvard and the Yale – how many other trainers named after famous Universities?
