A very Happy Police Incident !

Yes tonight I am feeling very warm inside and smiley 🙂 … I arrived home this evening from a few days away to find on my doorstep a card from the local police asking me to call them regarding incident No ‘bla bla’ ! thinking oh my god what have I done now ! …. called the incident room …. very polite young lady said she had no details of the event and would get the officer involved to get in touch with me …. Less than one hour later ding dong on the door bell, very attractive female police officer arrives to tell me that ‘someone’ in a car parked outside my house last night reported hearing ‘what sounded like a very serious domestic dispute’ this officer had spoken to all of my neighbours, whom were all ok, but was concerned when I had not answered the door ! …… So how nice is that ? Community policing working at it’s best ! I shook her hand and said I felt so good at being looked after so well ! …. So nice to report something so superb !!

Keith 🙂

Probably the Inspector was not to be taken for a fool!

Shows how daft that copper was. Surely the answer would have been “I have been quite ill and I am trying to exercise in the fresh air so I am fit enough to resume duty!”

We also had that problem Chas, many yrs ago. In those days an Inspector used to pay them a visit, I remember vividly, one of our Sgt reported in sick, and on the 2nd day, he was visited by said Ins, and the Sgt was mowing his front lawn. The Sgt was moved further up North, as punishment/example.
Would never happen these days.Mores the pity.

You’ll enjoy this letter in the paper today, Linc!

Police sickness

SIR – Some years ago, when I took charge of a large police station, I found an inordinate level of sickness compared with my previous stations (“My officers phone in sick with hangovers, admits chief constable”, report, October 2). I let it be known that, as I was concerned about staff health and welfare, either myself or another senior officer would visit the homes of those reporting sick to see how they were. And we did.
Within a month “sickness” fell by 62 per cent, and within six months by another 17 per cent. Thereafter it remained below average, much to the relief of those who had to cover for their sick colleagues.

Gary. You mean to say that you managed to get INTO your nick?.
Ours has the front door locked all day, even when I KNOW there is a Copper inside.

Several weeks ago, whilst we were out, our house alarm went off. no one came out to see if anyone was breaking in, and I live NEXT DOOR to the Fuz house. It was after my neighbour opposite came round and told me, and also that she had seen no Police came round to check, even though my neighbour phoned the Fuz and told them it was driving then crazy, that I went to speak to the Fuz, next door, and I was told, “It’s not our job”.
When you join up, you swear an oath, part of which, is, “To protect life, and property”
No respect for them whatsoever, and they wonder why.

But the serious domestic dispute sound alike…?
If it wasn’t you then someone…lied to the police. You could get shot for less than that in some countries.
