Now that is bad weather,it was no where near that bad.
But it does remind me of a day a long time ago at Manchester ,when the pier’s were open and I was taking pic’s of 3 British Caladonian DC10’S and a Gauda 747 not sure if it was the same day ,all I remmeber was the DC10’s has diverted from Gatwick and was there a few days ,and that was in about -11 frezzing fog and snow.
Pity pic’s have long since been lost

There’s one eirJet (EI-DKF) left in Liverpool operating for Ryanair until March 31, the other one (EI-DIJ) has gone to Shannon again working for Ryanair. With their other A320 working for Air Jamaica, eirJet had to hire Freebird to operate their charters. It’s bit of a mess.

Excellent shots by the way, retro shots included 🙂

Oh dear…I only joined this forum today and here I am going into Boring Old Fart mode 😀 .
Plane snappers of today just don’t know they were born! Rain? Yer don’t know the meaning of the word!
Now this is what I call bad weather at Liverpool. BAS Viscount 700 at Liverpool in February 1969, courtesy of the new scanner I’ve just bought. Mind you, i was 17 then and rather more weatherproof than I am now.
Joking apart, nice pictures.

Both EirJet and Freebird are operating for Ryanair from Liverpool. A couple of weeks ago I think their were two EirJet’s operating, either that or I had one too many to drink! (& no im not a pilot!)

There’s some sort of spooky irony in seeing a plane with ‘Freebird’ written on it, isn’t there… 😮

True! Never thought of that before, don’t suppose many others would either I guess.

Most people on here will be too young to catch onto that one, Allen. 🙂

Top work that man!!! Shame about the mire, the A310 would have been top in sunlight…. was the Eirjet a footy charter, or does it go to LPL regular?? Still not seen one yet!!
Hard lines btw to the Kop 🙁 , but at least Moanrhinho’s mob got put out too, along with Rangers 🙂 🙂 ,(not all doom and gloom)

Liverpools rwy is 7500FT long. Easy long enough to handle an A310. The airport can also handle larger than that. This A330 brought the Liverpool fans home from Istanbul last year.
