The video linked to here is indeed not Flying Legends in 1993, but the Classic Fighter show that same year — the last in that form. The OFMC held a one-off Classic Jet and Fighter Display at Duxford in 1996.
Thanks for the clarification JMVR.
I did wonder after I posted the link if it was actually the last Classic Fighters show, given that the T-33 was present. 😮
And it looked a bit warm for a May bank holiday!

I think that 1993 was actually a “Classic fighter” show, “Legends” first year was 1996 ?
Not according to this years programme which had an article on the story of the beginings of Flying Legends.
It says the first ever one was a single day event held on the May Bank holiday.
The first two day event and switch to July was in 1994.
I must admit, I used to think that the first FL was held in 1994, although I suppose that’s true to an extent, as it’s the format that it has stuck too and became known for since then.

The display line and center daytum was moved a few years ago due to aircraft going over the village and safety concerns. I wish they would pull over the interesting visitors, there was some good vintage stuff on the far side this year.

Thanks very much for posting, the flying was a bit more dynamic and certainly lower back then.
The tail chases now don’t seem as good as the first time i saw one,or maybe it’s a case of over familiarity?
