kurmitz if you could get that many seats on a 319 then i think you may have a directors job at MyTravel waiting for you.

When I flew MyTravel from Bristol to Teneriffe last year they had jammed in so many passengers, I thought the seats included the jump seats and bogs!

I thought we all discussed the fact that it was Astraeus the other week?

Where did I read that Astraeus were after a long haul aircraft? Perhaps it was in Airliner World.

It wouldn’t surprise me if it was Astreaus or similar a it is a similar size to their B737s. Savings could only be made on weight and fuel for the others that have A320s. Thecrew complement would be the same. TCX just got a new A320 in the UK and possibly MYT. If I was a betting man I would definately go with the Astreaus.

when easyjet announced their huge order for the aircraft they also announced that they will be putting 156 seats in the aircraft, by, I think, removing a toilet. somehow, i don’t think you technically squeeze in any more seats – the A320 is a 150 seater.
I think that the airline maybe (and im guessing here) MY travel – they do operate the A320 (don’t they?) so the fleet commonality with the crews would be good, and a cost cutter.

lol..

Not sure what their A320s seat, but I reckon around 150 seats is probably about right.

Would the A319 not be too small for such an airline?

If MyTravel got there hands on one….about 200 seats!!
