This is the first mention of the A330F on the airbus website i believe,so it firms up the rumours that have been around the last few years.I can wait to see it to be honest 😀 .The A330 aircraft is a far superior platform that the 767 & i can see the the A330F being a big hit.If you look at the number’s of A300F’s needing to be replaced you can see why.Just take dublin for example,DHL,TNT & air contractors all operate the older model when they look around for a replacement, they’ve pretty much no choice but to go for the A330F.If fedex & ups decide to go for it they could keep the A330 line open well into the next decade(although airbus will have to get back in fedex’s good books,& keep UPS on side regarding the A380F).i wonder will there be an option down the line to convert existing passenger A330-200’s?,given that the A330 is very hard to get second hand?

It was never a rumour .
Nearly every new project starts up as a rumour,i was refering to the fact that this was the first article on the airbus website that mentioned the A330F.Of course i’ve read many internet articles with he said this, that & the other….about the aircraft, however i wait until i’ve read it on offical sites before i believe a project is going ahead.

It was never a rumour . Airbus had been publically , officially talking about the A330F infact Leahy just spoke about that a month or so back when he gave the intervie to ST . You can refer to the LEAHY TALKS ABOUT AIRBUS thread I started for more information.
