Most are configured for about 550 passengers in a multi-class layout, I think; though as Mr 27vet says, they can carry a lot more.

Wikipedia is your friend….

…up to 853 people in an all-economy class configuration.

I doubt if any operators have that configuration though.

As for the cabin crew, I’m not sure. The various aviation authorities require a minimum of one cabin crew for each +-50 pax but the airlines may have more.

I’ve not heard of any charter operators getting one, but why not 🙂

DME

Could happen, but look at the charter airlines at the moment. There are exceptions, but if you look in general, charter airlines seem to be opting for 767/A330 size for their largest aircraft. An A380 seems like a bit of a large step for them, especially if you’re talking about the typical holiday airlines operating short to medium haul flights to holiday destinations in and around Europe.

I think the big hit with the A380 is more than likely going to be with airlines operating high demand trunk-routes, for example London to New York, where many daily flights are in operation and the frequencies could be cut down with the A380.

Just my thoughts! 🙂

2 jetways for the doors before the wing on the left side

Thanks.

So it’s just like when they board first/business and economy.

When in it’s charter config, it will take ages to get all those people settled in and belted up.

For this the airports need new jetways and this would not be faster

Sorry, I must have got your message wrong.

You said two jetways for the front doors on the main deck, how do you mean?

Will they have a jetway at the Port front door and the Starboard front door?
