Airbus today announced that an A380 will be touring the UK this coming Saturday calling at RIAT, Goodwood Fest of Speed, an approach at Manchester and Liverpool and then a flyby at the Wirral Show.
This will see the Northwest get more than its fair share and about time too.
Lets just hope the weather improves a bit.

It takes away from the beauty of the beast being in that drab white livery

Thought it would’ve at least been Emirates or Qantas
The plane that did the tour of the North West is destined for Emirates eventually as A6-EDQ, but clearly, as they haven’t delivered the first A380 to Emirates yet, it’ll be a while before F-WWDD is painted and re-registered. I’d imagine the A380s that are in EK or QF livery are being tested in Toulouse, so it’d have to be one of the A380s which isn’t going to an airline anytime soon.

Come on chaps— anyone got any photos of the beast at the Wirral Show?
I was up in Llangollen myself so didn’t get to see the flypast.
A rather good weekend with friends, catching up on old times and drinking lots of wine and the like, weather was pretty good as well. also got to see the trains.

If anyone seems me on the mound at the approach to Liverpool, say hello…thick mop of grey hair, specs, 50-something trying to pretend he’s still 25, 6ft 1, blue jacket, chubby teenage lad in tow…

It is F-WWDD in some rubbish corporate Airbus scheme, not the nice one it was in last Farnborough.
Made quite an impressive display over my garden this morning as ever!

Below is a link to the official outline flying display for the week, looks as though the A380 will be up on all days, though on Tuesday it is listed as “team Airbus A380” no idea what that means though

We will be at the end of the runway at Farnborough on Monday
Can anyone tell me if the A380 will be flying on Monday or just on static display?
Or any details of the flying on Monday?
Thanks in advance

Now thats a decision…. do I go to the end of the runway at Liverpool and watch the approach… Speke Hall and watch it bank down the Mersey… or New Brighton for the Wirral Show…
I must say i would deffo be finding myself under the approach lights in that field at LPL, that will be awesome (now going to see if i can get a job down the north west on saturday:dev2:)
