I was in conversation with the CEO of Indian loco airline Air Deccan. This ambitious airline has just ordered 30 A320s. During the conversation the CEO made a statement to me that he is also looking for the A380 as a potential part of the LOCOs fleet for its high density routes operations which mainly means Delhi-Mumbai sector. What he pruposed was acquiring two to three A380s and putting them on this route so that the other A320s can be put on other routes to cover the country. Of course i looked at him as if he was a mad person.
Come to think of this if the right infrastructure prevails… is it me or it makes some kind of sense for countries like China and India?? What do you all think?
