A380 in Singapore Airlines Livery

http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1003688/L/

It says ‘SINGAPORE AIRLINES‘, just incase there was any doubt. The titles are quite small. 😉

Anyway… I believe this is only temporary as it’s off to some airshow in Asia, in the same way they had one in EK’s livery for the DXB airshow.

MSN 007

And this late afternoon, MSN007 (the fourth A380) performed RTO prior to first flight tomorrow or on monday…

The A380 MSN 007/F-WWSD was transfered to Hamburg-Finkenwerder (FXW) today. First flight of forth A380 was on last Sunday.
It’s going to join the test program and then to Etihad in 2007.

Is it amazing how quickly we all become uninterested about things, for months before the first one flew it was a desire, now they fly without any pomp at all. I did not even start a new thread! 😉

Well, if this livery isn’t up to snuff for any of us, I can’t wait to see the final product!

Eithad’s livery is much superior than anything here in the UK IMO.

Steph, some of the examples you used do have large fonts but the aircraft type compensates. The A380 is ugly too, let alone the SIA font!

I don’t understand your statement about the size of the font used here. Let’s face it, they have the world largest flying billboard. Don’t you think it’s better having large brand name so that everybody (especially people that know nothing about airlines except their reputation and visibility) can identify you, rather than having some kind of Malaysia-like ridiculously small sticker at the very front of the aircraft (refer to A380 Asian Tour)?

If you’re shocked by huge letters on SIA, what about this?

Great to see the A380 appearing in customer’s liveries at last. I wonder if they’ll do a mock up for Virgin too ?

It won’t be long before the Singapore and Qantas birds will be a common site at the likes of Heathrow and LAX

Oversized? You can barely read it!

That tiny font is bound to cause confusion when it enters service.

You’d of thought they could of made the titles a bit bigger though?

Yeah, I’ve only just found where they are. 😀

No matter how many corners may have been cut, the aircraft looks incredible and like many, I can’t wait to see the A380 in its Virgin Atlantic livery!
By the way, Steph, your pics are top notch as always! Incredible quality! 🙂

It was put on rushed job and is only a temp paintscheme so I guess some corners can be cut!

Excellent pictures, but the tail on that Singapore livery just doesn’t look right to me.

And I don’t just mean the dodgy quality of the logo. 🙂

No, they’ve missed a bit! 😉

As for the c/s , looks a bit lost with all that white, Ive seen the SQA 777 and the c/s looks smart, but on the A380 , it just not quite right ,
