A380 In The UK

I hope all the lads heading down to LHR, Filton and Broughton enjoy the day. I enjoyed seeing the A380 in Paris last summer. The best part of the plane is of course the British made wings, they are a truly awesome sight.

Quite an impressive beast, but boy is it UGLY.
The B747 still looks nicer IMO, much more graceful. 🙂

And let’s not “Write Off” the 747 yet, don’t forget Boeing have more than 30 years headstart in the Super-Jumbo category.

Boeing fan… 😀

Some very nice pictures in this thread…

My wife is a surveyor at Heathrow and has the luxury of an airside pass so, whilst I was stuck at home she sent me these to tease me a bit…

On the stand…

Virgin girl 1: “Oh my we’re going to be late getting to work for Sir Richard’s airline…”

Virgin girl 2: “Don’t worry, the plane’s going to be much later!” 😉

Great shots there.

The BBC had the kindness to film it for us:

A380 says “Hello Heathrow”

Made a last-minute decision to hot-foot it to Heathrow today, and I’m glad I did…

Bang on cue she arrived:

Hi James

Thanks, the 380 was extremely quiet (in Jet Engine terms), it really was quite surprising
