AAIB report for Gnat G-BVPP

Hello All,

I have not seen this mentioned anywhere so here it is.

http://www.aaib.dft.gov.uk/publications/bulletins/august_2005/folland_gnat_t_mk_1__g_bvpp.cfm

I have not read it myself yet

G-BVPP

Albert, and all forumites

Must remember not to type so fast 😮

I knew about the accident several days after it happened, although I was standing in the rather damp field at its intended destination at the time…

I spoke to someone at North Weald earlier this year, and was told it wasn’t likely to be repaired.

Cheers

This was reported soon after it happened in all the mags. I inspected this aircraft last weekend, which is still in damaged condition and needs replacement nose panels and other parts, but is repairable. Not been touched since the accident, as Kennet Aviation too busy with other projects.
