Aberdeen – ABZ?

Hi Guys,

This is my first post to the board…

Hi.

I was just wondering if anyone here would like to meet and take a trip to the world famous(?) Dyce Airport??

I’m kind of new to the city (I’m a student, but a nice one) and was wondering if anyone knew a good place to view?

Hi Sam,

I live about an hour from ABZ, and was up there just a couple of weekends ago. The farm that DarrenBe is speaking about is derelict, and one of the local spotters told me that the farmer gave his permission for spotters to park their cars in front of the farm buildings just off the road. I believe that the Airport Authorities aren’t keen on cars parked on the track itself. I’m planning a trip up there again in the next few weeks, so I’ll give you a shout beforehand.

Welcome aboard Spacemaid, if only you’d asked a week ago when I was working at Pittodrie Stadium over the weekend. I’ve been promising myself a visit to Dyce for ages, probably in the spring when the North Sea warms up a degree though.:D
