My first time at the Abingdon Country Air and Country show since the last time it did not clash with the Old Warden spring show. Great weather, good visibility and a super line up kept me entertained.
I thought the Vulcan preformed a great display even though it did not top it at my end of the crowd line due to coming round the corner the ‘wrong end.’ Never mind.
A great display and my congratulations to the organisers.
I may post a few more images later.

The cooling tower are indeed Didcot. Their apparent closeness is due to the use of a telephoto lens.

Lovely shots Martin. Cheers. Now, perhaps you can help me with something. It’s been many years since I was stationed at Abingdon with 47sqdn so my memory is somewhat jaded. I can’t recall ever seeing cooling towers in that area so where are they? Surely not the Didcot ones, they look too close but they’re the only ones I can see on GoogleEarth. I’m assuming that these shot were taken from Abingdon airfield.

excellent shots although my eye is drawn to the wrinkles and creases on the body below the cockpit on the first shot. ive seen stuff like that on wings n things when doing aero`s but this looks like straight line stuff.

Very nice sharp shots. Really like the Merlin with Didcot in the background.

Wow. What a great set of pix from a beautifull day.
I second Dunbar’s vote for the Jungmeister for 1st prize.
Thanks.

Very nice shots…although I am of course drawn to the T6 photo, I think the Jungmeister picture gets the prize…
