First of all, i hear about “sapphire” balls, in the previous posts…aluminum oxide as intercepter destroyers? maybe, but very unlikely. First of all Sapphire is not at all high temp capable in comparison to other materials. Second of all Sapphire, Oxide, or usually quartz as “microsphere” materials are excellent materials, but not good enough. Nuc warheads that can autonomously spot, track, and release these things are still light years away..most countries still have problems fielding MIRVs! I you have any affections for “balls”, maybe C60 carbon “buckey-” balls may do something.
Also, spotting a real nuc warhead? Since this is a classified question, i’ll only tell you this, like i’ve always been saying, don’t be limited by visual and IR spectrum! Think broad-band!Also a clue, just like in the early days, a look-down shoot down radar is hard to field…now think of this, a cold space as background (with other radiations sources known)…
