Accidental Mach 1 – Manchester, Sunday 26 Aug?

Sunday morning 6.50 am what sounded like an aircraft flying over causing what sounded like several sonic booms causing houses to shudder thought a plane had crashed it was that loud definatly not thunder thinking it was maybe a meteorite??

anyway i live in north east manchester (failsworth) if this helps

Sounds unlikely to me but you never know. Anybody from Ooop North care to comment?
