ADF Panel ID

This panel was brought to the Jet Age Museum today for identification. It appears to be a US ADF receiver but can anyone shed any light on which aircraft if may have been fitted to?

Spookily, I was looking at random cockpit photos online yesterday and remembered a match …

Pembroke C51 OT-ZAD has one, mounted on the same shaped panel – overhead front cockpit:
