Greetings,
Does any of you good types on here know if the good people at TFC or HAC would allow a 10yr old aviation nut to sit in a spitfire.
I ask as my son is totally besotted with the Spitfire and his one ambition is to sit in one. I don’t want to pester TFC or HAC as they have enough on their plates However, if they do occasionally let youngsters near thier planes I’ll only be to happy to write to them.
regards to all

Not sure if the advice of a Yank is much use, but over here a lot of private individuals own warbirds. A lot post on the internet, but I’d say hang around some local airfields and just ask questions. Most people are willing to talk, and I know a lot of guys over here that will let kids check out their planes and take pics. Hope it helps!!

Many organisations can be kind and allow this. I take cockpits of jets around and let chappies sit in them.
When I was a boy noone would let me sit in their Spits etc…thats why I have cockpits. Suggest you take your chap to Newarks cockpitfest, Stuart will hopefully have his spit there and he sort of nice!!! (tee hee)…wake up Stuart! He will be able to sit in an array of aircraft

I think you will find most organisations encourage the younger generation to take an interest in historic aviation. Ask.

I’ve seen a whole family been shown inside the OFMC’s Mustang at Duxford before, so could try them and ask about the Spitfire IX
