This is on our newswire….
“An investigation is underway, after an aeroplane got into difficulty while landing on the runway at Shannon Airport this morning.
Eyewitnesses say the Aer Lingus regional Aer Arann flight from Manchester made two attempts to land before crashing on the runway.
All 21 passengers and four crew members on board the flight are not believed to be injured and emergency teams are currently at the scene.
It’s believed there was a problem with the aircraft’s nose wheel as the plane tried to land at Shannon Airport at around a quarter to 11 this morning.
The runway at the airport is currently closed while an investigation is carried out by the Air Accident Investigation Unit and all flights will be diverted from Cork and Dublin airports.
Passengers are advised to contact their airline for further flight information.”

If everyone is safe then it’s good news but technically not a happy story

Now seems it landed safely and the nose-wheel collapsed as it was turning off the runway.

“Crashing”. I hate the overuse of that word.
It’s probably no more than a gear door failure or steering failure!
