” Aer Arann announces further expansion for Summer ‘07
12 th December 2006 , Aer Arann , Ireland ‘s premier regional airline, today announced that it is adding four new UK routes to its network for summer 2007 effective from 14 th May.
The new routes include services from Waterford to Birmingham , Galway to Newcastle and Bristol and Sligo to Manchester . The Waterford to Birmingham service will operate daily excluding Saturday, while the other three services will operate four days per week. This will bring the total number of Aer Arann routes between Ireland and the UK to 24. The airline also recently announced that it will operate seven routes to France during summer 2007 including four services from Lorient to Waterford , Galway , Cork and Kerry and three services from Nantes to Cork , Bristol and Cardiff .
Commenting on the announcement, Colin Lewis, Head of Sales and Marketing, Aer Arann said; “Today’s announcement represents further significant expansion for Aer Arann in the UK market and will provide easy access to these major UK cities and greater choice for business and leisure passengers in the regions. We look forward to working with the regional airports to develop these services.” 2

How about correcting the thread title? The Isle of Arran doesn’t have an airline and is in Scotland (Iwas there a couple of weeks ago).

Shouldn’t that be BRS-GWY as they already fly at least 9 times a week on the MAN-GWY service?

They certainly confuse me, pulling out of BHX completely and then were going to start a service to Belgium which never materialised and now they are back flying to Waterford!
Oh well, I consider it good news for BHX :), I hope they announce some more expansion :D:diablo: .
