Aer Lingus and that livery

I wonder if this livery will live on when the 735s are
replaced.. I think they have three variations of the theme.
Red, Blue and Green?

The old Aer Lingus colors would make you want to get sick but it was classically Irish. It looked as though it was representing a poor country but at that time we werent half as well off as we are now.we have the 2nd highest GNP in Europe.

Yeah Ireland’s certainly come on leaps and bounds since I started visiting 25 years ago.

Damm it , I never noticed that the RED THING was on the cargo door of the A330 !!!!
May be some kind of “Red dot chilly paper” 😀 😎

It’s the (do not touch) emergency stop button, as seen in a classic episode of Father Ted… 😀 That particular A330 could do with a touch up Sandy, not to mention a wash as well. Still looks better in those colours than in the original livery it wore when entering service with Aer Lingus…

The standard EI livery is great and so Irish.
We speak here about this nasty “red dot thing”.
Someone suggested a new c/s (Sandy I guess) for Aer Lingus : just gorgeous 🙂

I like the .com liverys just because they are different.3 new A320s have been delivered EI-DEA,EI-DEB and EI-DEC with the next one due in august and then 2 in september I think the Swiss A320s will go about then.I like them aswell because they are different. On thhe new A320s the big red . in the .com on the side hase been reduced so now its just the same size as the other letters.Nice pics.Any body want to meet up in Dublin this year?

there is still at least one fully white A320. I saw it last week at AMS, and the week before and a few weeks before that….

I always get to see that dull all-white plane.

Have you noitced that the 3 shades of .com livery colours are the same shades as the old c/s from the late 1990s? Must have had some spare paint kicking about the hanger! 😀

Right enough….

I’m pretty sure that the Swiss leased a/c will go when sufficiant new a/c have entered the fleet. Hence the reason for them not being painted (Mind you, they have stayed longer than I thought they would!)

I am not sure if they were just a stapgap measure prior to EIs new machines being delivered or if they were a more perminant aquisition – here’s one for Jethro to answer…

I presume the 2 white ones were the ex Swiss examples?

There’s also a couple of white A320’s kicking about that look like this, not sure if they’ve been repainted since I snapped them in February?

Of course the classic standard Aer Lingus livery still looks great ! :p

Two almost identical shades of green and a light blue, two 734’s and two 735’s I think? Defo no red ones though.
