Aer Lingus have no connections through LHR!!!! Are you mad? A massive amount of Irish passengers transit via LHR everyday onto BA flights to all parts of the world. Transit passengers make up a huge percentage of the passengers on EI’s DUB-LHR route.
You dont have to be in an alliance to have transit passengers.

A move out of LHR isn’t going to happen , large numbers of seats are sold thru the BA codeshare. They may (emphasis on the MAY) drop one or two but no more than that, a lot of pax still connect through LHR to destinations that are not available from DUB

No its not going to happen. But maybe there trying LGW out again. Then maybe by around this time next year, they may slowly begin to move there operations across from LHR to sell there LHR slots to Larger American carriers. Remember Aer Lingus arnt in any alliance now. So they have no connections from LHR. So it might be a good move to go all LGW.
But then ryanair.:rolleyes:

The codeshare is only on the LHR route.
Will be interesting to see the BA and more notably the FR response to this one.
Good move though, nice to see all their eggs aren’t in the LHR basket anymore

Good news for LGW and EI I remember seeing EI at LGW years ago then they left good to see them back
