Here are some photos of my part of the world seen from the air. A friend of mine has an aircraft and we had a couple of flights this winter. The first nine photos was shot at february 2.nd and the last nine on march the 16.th.
Kleive, a small village about 20 km east of Molde Airport.
Skjevikåsen, a “suburb” about 15km east of the airport and 20 km east of Molde town .
Old Molde shipyard, now National Oilwell Varco, a producer of offshore cranes.
Tusten, Molde skiresort.
“Vardestua”, Varden Viewpoint, 408 meters above Molde town.
A recidential area in Molde.
During 2.nd World War Molde was almost erased from the face of the earth. The houses at the bottom half is almost the only ones left in the town from before the war. Most of the houses on the upper half of the picture was given as a gift from the swedish people to provide roof for the towns inhabitants after the war. Therefor this part of the town is called “The Swedish town”
A part of the center of Molde, the Cathedral and the old football stadium seen at the very top.
The new football stadium, Rica “The Sail” Hotel and western parts of the town in the background.
To be continued.

Nice. Everyone should see their local area from that angle at least once in their life.

Such a lovely collection of photos! Like FLY.BUY, I also went to Norway (Stavanger) in December last year and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It seemed to me like such a lovely country and everyone was so friendly in local stores and cafe’s – especially when I tried to say a few things in Norwegian. I even got to learn about the Norwegian christmas celebrations which my friend taught me about, things like amalie’s jul and pepperkakefest. Amazing country!
Great shots! 🙂

I went to Norway last year, lovely place but very very expensive. Anyone thinking of going to Norway please consider going to India first in order to sell a kidney to finance the trip. The Norweigns are a pretty friendly bunch of people, beautiful country! Great photos well done.

Maybe the pictures should be posted in the GA section low’n’slow, but I could not find any picture section there, so I just took the chance and posted them here. So if the mods want to move the thread, please do so.
Anyway, thanks for your comments folks! Sorry, I do not have any more pictures to post now, but there will be many flights this spring and summer, and pictures to follow.

UK PLC would be shut, the trains would be slipping on the wrong type of snow, the roads would be full of long abandoned cars and we would have ran out of grit months ago if that was here!
Lovely pics and country side, you should be proud of them 😀

Truly a Fjord Fiesta! (groan)
Lovely shots ENML. Perhaps we should put this on the General Aviation forum and get other to post shots of local flights on their ‘home patch’?

Bjorli seen from the west towards Oppdal.
This and the next picture. Romsdalen, with towering mountains and the deep valley. A lot of turbulence and downdrafts here!.

Åndalsnes, a small town at the end of the Romsdals fjord. Molde in the far background.

Notice the windshear on the fjord. We really felt that!
