Aero engineering

Hi, I was not quite sure where this thread should go so i’m sorry if it’s in the wrong place, but I was wondering if anybody could help.

I’m looking to do aerospace/aeronautical engineering at university next year, and i’m looking for some advice as to where the good places and what the good courses are. Has anybody done it or doing it at the moment? Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Peter

I’m joining the Forces to do my aerospace/aeronautical engineering (courtesy of the queen 😉 ) However, my mate is gunna go to Southampton Uni to do his course, he’s been down there and says the equipment and facilities are top class.

Another option is to do an apreticeship at a local aerospace company, that way you get qualified and you have real hands on experience.

You could also try Cranfield University.

I’ve a feeling Coanda was doing a aero-engineering or similar course at Bristol.

Might be worth a PM if he doesn’t see this thread.

A couple of ex Air Cadets I know are at Hatfield, which apparently is quite good.

not done it but the Southampton University (apparently) has a good reputation for aero engineering qualifications etc.
