Any of you guys ‘n’ gals going to the aerojumble at Popham this early May bank holiday ?.
I’ve managed to wangle flights back on the ‘Trooper’ from Sunday 4th May and back later on in the week so’s I can get to the Aerojumble / Microloght / Trade fair at Popham on the May bank holiday Monday !!!
Should be there around opening time…depends what time I get into Brize in the mornoing and if I sleep in the car …or not!!! but am hoping to be there around 09.00 for the duration. I’m easy to spot as I’ll be wearing a black bomber jacket with Harley Davidson Racing in an orange band across the back and shoulders…..oh, and I’m also quite tanned !!!!….teehee.
There is normally a bladdy good fly-in as well as the trade stands and jumble stalls.
I’m after a couple of models from the Corgi Aviation Heritage collection and a few back issues in Bound format of Flyp*st and whatever takes my fancy. I’m also hoping to meet my mate from Devizes and arrange for a evening flight from Thruxton in G-USSY…a Piper archer 2 based at Thruxton on Tuesday evening before going back to Brize for my return flight.
If you see me, please come up and introduce yerself !!!!
See ya there.
And no…I wont have my trade mark C*rlsb*rg in hand….tooo ruddy pricey by far !

Paul
thanks for that mate
I’m definately after the Lightning in the Firebirds livery, and I want to look at the new B24, The Dragon and His Tail, The 1:72 Lanc and a few others that take my fancy.
A few years ago, I saw a cracking model of the Mustang with the nose art ‘Ridgerunner’. Think it was a Amercan made model and was all metal in I think 1:72 scale. I want to see if I can find one of them as well
I’ll drop over and find you out early Monday morning.

Gary,
I will be at Popham over the weekend – Solent Aviation Society (green/white tent thingy)
Which Corgi models are you looking for – a mate of mine sells them and will also be there and may have what you are after.
