Aeroplane 1956

As the chairman of Royal Air Force Museum Laarbruch in Germany I’m researching the history of RAF Laarbruch.
Reading the 1956 F540s I found the following remark in May 1956:
14th May 1956 – Mr. J. Fricker of the magazine “Aeroplane” acompanied by Mr. Moore (photographer) visited the Station and after an interview with the Station Commander (Group Captain G.W. Petre, D.F.C., A.F.C.) was escorted on a tour of the Station by the Press Liaison Officer Flight Lieutenant J.S. Dugdale.
I assume there was an article in one of the following monthly issues of Aeroplane.
Does anyone have the 1956 issues and could provide scans of the article and photos?
Any other articles and / or photos of RAF Laarbruch greatly appreciated.

“Mr. J. Fricher of the magazine “Aeroplane” …”

That will be the late John Fricker.

Mark

For the younger readers out there, he was an extremely well known aviation writer in the 60s-70s.

Why not contact your counterparts at the RAF Museum Hendon? They keep bound copies of aircraft magazines in the library.
