Aeroseum, the underground air museum/experience centre in Gothenburg, is launching its first public event on May 6. In the morning there will be a guided tour (notification required) of the former F 9 Wing and Helicopter Division area, with a unique visit in the 8000 m2 WW2 rock shelter.
In the afternoon the greater 22 000 m2 underground hangar from the Cold War days – the actual home of Aeroseum – will be open in the main gallery (as we have a limited number of volunteers we can not allow access to the entire hangar this day due to the current fire regulations.) There will also be some vintage aircraft and helicopters in the air, sightseeing flights ect. See Aeroseum website for more details.
Ryanair and other low-fare airlines fly directly to Göteborg City Airport from the UK, Ireland, Germany, France and other countries. Aeroseum is only a short taxi ride from the terminal, or 15 minutes from the city centre.
See you there? 🙂 (Papa Lima, I count you in)

I’ll be there, Daniel, ready to act as a guide in my RAF blazer in honour of the occasion. Anyone needing an English-speaking guide is welcome to nab me, as an officially qualified volunteer guide.
Ralph (who now flies Uno Ranch’s Safir) has told me that at least 9 privately-owned Safirs will be flying in!
Camera(s) at the ready!
