AF A380 makes first atlantic crossing

http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5h6Zopo4rBgND6f1TU1_CHtaJfBeg

I think being packed in for hours across the Atlantic is enough but to be forced to listen to jazz aswell, thats to much !

Oh, yes, the A380…
I saw a video clip of the said AF A380 touching down in the US. A beautiful and majestic aircraft if ever there was one.
Mind you, the B747, old as it now is, also possesses this majesty. I think it has something to do with extreme size.
God knows what the AN225 must look like on touchdown, then.

Moderatorial Mumblings

I’m sure we used to talk about Commercial Aviation in here at one time.

On-topic please, chaps!

Thanks

Jazz is, to my ears, just an infernal and thoroughly horrible noise.
That said, feel free to disagree with me.

Jazz is rather like breaking wind – more enjoyable to do yourself than to have to listen to someone else doing it! :dev2:

if there was no jazz your contemporary music would be pretty bloody dull today. 😀

High-brow classical is my thing.

Crossing the Atlantic in business class comfort drinking champers and listening to a live jazz band…just pure heaven

I’ll take the A380, Business Class and even champagne (hardly drink it) but would rather leave the jazz band on the ground.

Does anyone know which flight will be the regular one for the 380? We get a fair few AF’s over Duxford and on a sunny day, the 380 should be quite a sight.

It looks like it will be flight 6, departing Paris at 13:30hrs local time.

The jazz noise couldn’t have been heard on both decks, surely?
One of the passengers commented on the quietness of the aircraft!:D
