AF got on my nerves today.
We booked a flight BIQ-LAX back in June and since not all the flights were available for booking on the web (????) we had to book on the phone.
This time AF was offereing a much better deal than UA and I broke my rule #1 (Better crawling than AF)
This morning we realized that we never got any confirmation (yes I know very late) email but it’s rather usual with AF. We just gave a call to AF and were told …… that the reservation had been cancelled. !!!! (Departure Oct 25th)
I was told that it was my fault because they entered a bad Credit ID in the system and since they entered a “one digit wrong phone number” they couldn’t call us !!!
Of course they had in the file an other correct phone number that they didn’t use and an email adress that they neglicted.
After a couple of hours screaming on the phone I finally got in touch with a manager who restored our booking !!! of course I thanked her vbery much but we didn’t receive any apology!
Bottom line thanks AF and fly UA.
