AFM RAF Typhoon status update.

Its a goodie. So far the only people who have any issues with this jet are 1) the competition, 2) the politicos who are most worried about this years payrise and 3) thems who haven’t flown it yet. Misinformation is rife and almost wholely innaccurate. Aircraft in RAF No17 Sqn service number four so far, they are rated as ‘training aircraft only’ yet they are still more capable than anybody expected. They are making up for lost time by flying double the allotted hours, the radar though not yet up to full operational spec is outstanding and the jet itself is glorious. CO 17(R) Sqn Wng Cmdr Chan reckons everytime you fly it you get a permanent grin. The RAF, having had a modicum of experience, is very very exited. Good stuff then. 🙂
