After many false starts and broken promises at last a Westland Whirlwind is being constructed for inclusion into the IL-2 Series Flight Sim…
She will have an accurate 3D cockpit and flight model of the original aircraft, every effort has been made to make this as accurate as possible.
When finished (Early next year) the model will be the culmination of 6 years of collected Whirlwind data, drawings, crash reports, flight data and film on this ‘Forgotten’ British Fighter… 🙂

Though I must admit I think it might be even more useful if the much heralded BoB sim from Ubisoft appeared.
I quite like the idea of swooping down out of the skies onto the serried ranks of Heinkels on the 15th September
