Aftershave adds

I don’t know if anybody else has noticed but there seems to be an ever increasing number of commercials on the telly about perfume and aftershave, the likes of armani, chanel.

I’m sorry but it’s really annoying me and I was wondering if anybody else had noticed. The products are probably good but we don’t neeed them all the time do we ??????????????????

:p  😎

The BBC may have no adcerts, but is it really worth the ever increasing license fee ? – I don’t think so.

The digital channels are mainly repeats or programmes that will be shown on 1 or 2 in a months time.

Channel 5 seems to be improving the film schedule with more premiers these days, but they still have the crappy tv movies – AAAhhh!!!!! I hate them.

That would explain a lot. It is OK, but it has lots of padding between programmes which gets annoying after a while & makes them look like a bunch of cheapskates. Ah, that’s better.

Because it’s run by a commercial company called Flextech. They basically buy the programmes from the BBC and run the station as a kind of franchise arrangement. They also run the UK: cable stations in this country such as UK:Gold, UK: Living etc…

Not forgetting product placement actually in the shows, of course! And other TV listings magazines are available;).
The holiday ads will come just as the winter weather really sets in – the snow that the adverts would have you believe happens at Christmas actually making you buy that summer holiday.

Look on the bright side, in a few days time all you’ll get is ads for January sales and holiday firms !:)

In a couple of days (work it out for yourself!!) there will be adverts shown on TV but paying comparatively nothing for their airtime – afterall who wants to advertise when the shops are closed?
But aftershave will disappear shortly – it is just there to remind the less imaginative females out there that there are other things which are slightly more expensive than socks… 😮 😮

It’s the festive period, good marketing time for fragrances with all those people needing gift ideas. It will die down soon once the popularity for these type of products is back to normal.

I have just ignored them, good old BBC without all the adverts 🙂
