Hi all,
Another old tail wheel to ID, an AHO 5560, anyone know what type / types this might of come from?
A few pics attached, various numbers stamped into it, S/N 48880 etc. Plus what might just be an aircraft serial number looks like SM298..this no doubt too good to be true!
Any info greatly apprecicated.

I also have a tail wheel similar to that pictured above. Tyre size 6.00-4 with Sect Ref 27A 1923. The valve side of the hub has the Drg No AHO 5560 Issue 7 and the removable side of hub has the Part No AHO 1748. I have seen the wheel described in different threads as belonging to a Barracuda, Firefly and Seafire aircraft. Do all 3 aircraft have the same type of wheel or can anyone help in naming a particular aircraft it belonged to from the Part Nos mentioned here.
I have seen pics describing a wheel as belonging to a Seafire, but it looks different to this one, albeit the tyre size looks the same.
Any suggestions?
Regards Nimgen
