AI: An ethical dilemma??

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-10-02 AT 11:49 AM (GMT)]We have all heard the fuss surrounding cloning, and stem cell research, but what of the future, and the real possibility of AI – or Artificial Intelligence.

Spielberg’s movie ‘AI’ made me think ..“hell I hope it never gets like that!”

And watching an episode of OUTER LIMITS today covered the same subject, and the problems that it may cause. Again, it kind of scares me to think of the possibilities. I know what we have seen so far is from fiction, but it does cover the issues that could arise if AI is ever a reality.

How do others feel on this subject? Should there be a VERY strict ruling and legislation for AI in future??

Regards, Glenn.
