Aiforce Compositions and the affects on doctrine… your views

Been some time I started a new thread.

Last night as I watched Independence Day (again :rolleyes:) I had a thought cross my mind.

How does the composition of an air force affect its doctrine? Does procuring aircrafts from different countries in any way effect the way the top brass thinks?

Air war doctrine for the Russians and the Americans are as different to each others as that of the Europeans. Air forces usually have pilots rated on different aircrafts, so does the training on one type spill on to the other? Nations with multiple vendors will be trained differently on how to use the aircrafts. How does this actually affect the way the force functions?

I was intrigued and thought I will share my thoughts with you. Go ahead and let’s hear what you have to say.
