Yes it is a satellite reciever for Jetblue’s Satellite TV service, and very good it is too!

Indeed, you can even tune in to CBS News live and watch as your imminent death is filmed from every conceivable angle ! 😉

Yes it is a satellite reciever for Jetblue’s Satellite TV service, and very good it is too! Had the pleasure of using them for a quick Long Beach – Oakland last summer and they were superb. Brilliant being able to watch what you want and makes the flight go so quick!

I believe it’s a satellite receiver for the IFE, although I could well be wrong! I’ve seen a similar thing on a good few long haul widebody aircraft as well.
