Hello
I attended last week’s Air Britain Fly In at North Weald. I visited on the Sunday, which had btter weather than Saturday, attracting an interesting selection of aircraft.
I always like to arrive early to have the opportunity to see the many interesting residents that are displayed. As usual, there were several Jet Provosts, including G-BWGS:-

Cessna 421 N37379 was getting a wash from her owner:-

Extra N466MD did its best to liven up an otherwise dull day:-

Proctor restoration G-AKEX arrived by road – hopefully one day it will fly into North Weald:-

Of the visitors that flew in, Fox Moth G-ACEJ was my favourite:-

Several other vintage visitors included Magister G-AKPF:-

Several cubs showed up, including G-ARAN:-

Another historic aircraft was G-STCH

G-AWUU was the most colourful of the Cessna contingent that visited:-

Plenty of Vans were around, including G-RVEI:-

The Fly in usually attracts a few foreign visitors, but this year the weather obviously put most people off. Two Dutch visitors, however, included PH-PAD:-

Several lighter aircraft arrived, including G-CCRR:-

I hope the photos are of interest – most of the visitors and residents that were outside can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/indiaecho/
I would also like to thank the organisers – it must be a thankless task putting an event on like this, especially when you have to contend with the vagaries of the British weather, but I for one really appreciate their efforts – the fly in is one of my favourite events.
