I think the new livery must involve cost savings, because when a aircaft goes in for checks it is completely stripped alot of the times anyway, so if the new livery is cheaper than the old one then that must be one of the reasons why they have done it.

Its hideous, absoloutley hideous. Talk about dumbing down,. its like a no-frills livery. Also considering Air Canadas financial woes, i would have though a new livery and paint costs was the last thing they needed.

I think it’s awesome! It looks very cool the way the maple leaf is a scewed like it’s falling off of a tree. A lot more modern and Canadian, in my opinion. It has a distictly winter feel. You may also notice that the font is different on the livery. Very creative and distinct tail. True, the body is white, but these are tough times people.

It was also noted in the paper today that there will be new uniforms, interiors and that Celine Dion is the spokesperson. I figured that that was going to happen as there are a number of AC aircraft in her latest video including the A345. New commercial to start running tomorrow.

I do like it a little, if i had a choice over that and the old livery i would choose the old livery at the moment, as Skymonster said they should of tried to go all out like UA but you know, like most new liverys it WILL grow on me…..:D 🙂

Dreadful… Air Canada had a chance to come up with something bold, different and imaginative… But they came up with that! Hardly world-shattering and very unmemorable.

If I look at what fellow Star carrier United did, UA’s revamp is worlds ahead of what Air Canada have done.

For once I actually kind of like a new livery… the slight change to the typeface in the Air Canada logo is good, and the tail is quite nice too. Could have been better, could have been much worse.

The maple leaf looks off centre in relation to the unshaded (un-dotted?) area. Apart from the leaf itself, it’s boring, tired-looking and bland.
