This airline was based in my hometown… i believe it only exists today in the form of a little express airline, flying small props.

I remember that incident very well, footage of the rescue effort is often used on those “world’s worst air crash” type documentaries that we see all the time nowadays.

Yeah I have got this clip on Video. It took off from Washigton, engines failed, caught a few cars on a bridge then went into the River, with only 3 survivors. So see you all got it right in one way or another! :p

By: robc - 31st May 2003 at 14:12
Well i cant remember the exact details of it, but i remember seeing it on tv and it looked bad, lots of broken ice on the river and it was a bad scene.
By: Selsport69 - 31st May 2003 at 14:07
No I think it clipped a couple of cars on the bridge.
By: robc - 31st May 2003 at 13:25
I thought i went straight into the water….? But also there were only 3 survivors or some little number like that.
By: Selsport69 - 31st May 2003 at 11:42
Yeah it was a true story. Taking off in a blizzard and the crew faild to put on the anti ice which led to aircraft stalling on take off crashing into a bridge then into the river.
