Air Holland – Ceased ops???

Not yet the full livery, but it is a start! I tried the website on the fuselage, it is still down.

As for the current operation. Air Holland as a company is no more. They have been taken over by the Exel Aviation Group. This is the same organization that runs, amongst others: KLMexel, BONAIRexel, ARUBAexel etc. Soon BELGIUMexel will start and they are looking at starting a Spanish branch.

The personnel and most (all?) of the planes have been transferred to the Exel Aviation group. They will dispose of the Air Holland brand and estabilish HOLLANDexel. HOLLANDexel is to get all of Air Hollands B767s except for two. They will be transferred to BELGIUMexel. Rumours are that there will also be two B737s joining HOLLANDexel.

I am not sure what will happen with the B757s. Last I heard is that the AOC of the exel group does not include the B757 but does include the B767. That seems a bit odd as they both have largely the same type rating, so we will just have to see what is happening with them.

Both HOLLANDexel and BELGIUMexel will be flying to the Dutch Carribean from Amsterdam and Brussels respectively. Expect the planes to be painted in the same livery as the other planes of the Exel Aviation group.

According to Peter, Air Holland goes under about every other month, so who knows.

Aren’t they being merged into another charter line, I think our Dutch friends alluded to this the other week ?
