The court in Haarlem has declared Air Holland bankrupt today. The airline had already stopped operations the 10th of February when they went into chapter 11.
The debt of the airline is aproximately 30 million euros. Among the debtors are the tax agency and leasing companies. Next to those companies 100s of people who payed for a flight later this year have been affected. The chances of them getting back their money are slim.
“ That’s very annoying for those people” , curator Ingwersen said when pronouncing bankruptcy. Ingwersen will be responsible for clearing the mess. Paying of the many debtors, many of whom will be disappointed.
Air Holland had been in financial dificulties for years. Mid february the airline had to cancel a number of flights to the Dutch Anitlles because of the lack of money. Several 100s of people where affected.
The last few weeks Air Hollands flights to the Antilles where done by Holland Exel. A company owned by Erik de Vlieger.
Dutch only

No, Air-Scotland apparently saw this coming and cancelled their leasing cotract with Air Holland.that is why they’re now with “Greece Airways” who have been formed from the ashes of Electra Airlines
Air Holland and Air Scotland parted company last November. Air Scotland now use a (leased via Greece Airlines) TCX 752 and a Maersk 737. More 757’s are due in April and over the summer via Greece Airlines, a company set up by some of the former Electra board.

I concur. EAL have just started a strategic resizing. They’re continue with their 737-200’s. Perhaps in a few years, they may grow again but thats too farr ahead to even speculate about.
I’m going to try and contact them. I want to donate a paint scheme.
