One of my ‘slow-burn’ projects is to build up, to the extent feasible, an H2S MkIIB system, the ground-mapping radar fitted to Lancaster aircraft during WW2.
Of the various units in the system, one that I have so far failed to find so far is an example of the Power Unit Type 280.
I know it is a long-shot, but does anyone have one they would be prepared to sell to me?
Being realistic, the chance of finding a complete one in good condition is probably not high, but I would be interested in anything in any condition which could be used as the basis of a rebuild, or to provide parts. A rusty old chassis could be measured up to enable a replica to be made.
I’ve attached a couple of diagrams taken from the manual, so you know what to look for!
Many thanks in anticipation,
Andy

Bruce,
Fingers and all other appendages crossed!
While you are there, look out for a scanner hub, also something I haven’t found yet……………..

You know it rings a bell Andy – just not sure where I have seen one. May even be in the shed.
