Air power over Afghanistan- US options?

I am starting a new thread as the old one was getting clogged and also because I wanted a specific discussion on what role members see US air power playing in any strike against the Taliban. Unlike Iraq or Kosovo, I feel the role of air power will be very limited due to the terrrain, lack of heavy wepons in the Taliban’s armory etc.
